Not Sure Yet

Is Sober Living Your Right Next Step?

Five questions, answered on the page, no email, nothing to unlock. Three of the six answers send you somewhere other than here, including detox or treatment first if that is what you need.

Work Out Your Next Step

What You Can Expect Day to Day

Consistency beats intensity at this stage. Mornings often start with basic routines: making your bed, personal hygiene, a brief check-in, and a plan for the day.

Days are for work, school, volunteering, appointments, or job hunting. Evenings bring time to cook, connect with housemates, attend support meetings, and wind down. Curfews, chore schedules, and house expectations aren’t punishment; they’re training wheels that help you rebuild rhythm and reliability.

Inside the home, you’ll find shared common spaces designed for connection and rest. House guidelines are direct and reasonable, aimed at keeping everyone safe and focused. The result is a substance free environment that helps you think clearly, feel grounded, and make decisions you’re proud of tomorrow.

Support for Real-Life Goals

Recovery isn’t only about abstaining; it’s about building a good life. Need help polishing a resume? Want to find a gym or a therapist that takes your insurance? Looking for a meeting that fits your shift schedule?

Staff can point you to practical resources so you can advance one step at a time. You will learn important life skills like budgeting, meal prep, communication, and conflict resolution. These skills will help you build a better future with sobriety, instead of just avoiding your past.

Program Elements That Reinforce Progress

Residents often combine the house structure with outside supports like therapy, peer-support groups, or medication management when appropriate. Our sober living programs complement these services by providing the daily accountability and stable housing that make sustained change far more likely. Think of the home as the foundation: your work, meetings, and appointments are the framing that builds the rest of your life.

Life in South Austin, Tailored to Recovery

If you’re looking specifically for men’s sober living in South Austin, this neighborhood offers plenty of opportunities to build a sober lifestyle you actually enjoy: music and arts that don’t revolve around bars, fitness communities, outdoor spaces, and a thriving job market. We will encourage you to explore these in ways that align with your goals, your schedule, and your recovery plan.

Is Men’s Sober Living Right for You?

Ask yourself:

  • Do you want steady structure while you rebuild independence?
  • Would peer accountability help you follow through?
  • Do you need time and space to practice sober routines before living completely on your own?

If the answer is yes, men’s sober living can help connect treatment and the freedom of living on their own.

Getting Started

Admission is straightforward. You’ll complete a brief screening to ensure the home is a good fit, review house guidelines, and collaborate on an initial plan: meetings you’ll attend, work or school goals, transportation, and any appointments you’ll maintain. From there, the focus is simple: appear, be honest, contribute to the household, and let small daily wins compound.

Our sober living home in South Austin is here to help you. Whether you are coming here after treatment or looking for a second chance, we want you to thrive. It offers the structure to keep you steady, the brotherhood to keep you honest, and the practical rhythm that turns disciplined days into a strong, sustainable life in sober living.
