What should I pack for my sober living stay at Eudaimonia?
For your sober living stay, plan to bring enough clothes for a week, towels, basic toiletries and hygiene products, money for transportation, personal electronics, a cell phone, food and non-alcoholic drinks, plastic hangers, a plastic laundry hamper, and tobacco products if you use them.
Does Eudaimonia provide bedding and linens, or do I need to bring my own?
You do not need to bring bedding. Eudaimonia provides linens, bedding, and a comfortable bed in every sober living home or apartment, along with dresser and closet space for your clothes and personal items.
Can I bring personal furniture to my sober living home?
No. Personal furniture such as chairs, tables, TVs, and desktop computers is not allowed. Each sober living residence is already furnished and set up with what you need for a comfortable and safe stay.
Are electronics like laptops, tablets, and game consoles allowed in sober living?
Yes. You may bring personal electronics, including laptops, tablets, and game consoles, and you are responsible for keeping them safe. Eudaimonia also offers Wi-Fi and a computer lab at the main office for additional access.
Can I bring my cell phone to sober living?
Yes. You are encouraged to bring your cell phone, as it makes it easier to schedule job interviews, coordinate transportation, and stay connected with healthy supports. Each sober living location also has a landline phone available.
Do I need to bring my own pots, pans, or kitchen supplies?
No. Eudaimonia provides full-size kitchen appliances, cooking and eating utensils, and basic kitchen supplies in each sober living home. You do not need to bring pots, pans, or crock pots.
Are food and drinks provided, or should I bring my own?
Residents are responsible for their own food and non-alcoholic drinks. You are welcome to bring groceries and beverages that do not contain alcohol when you move into your sober living home.
Are pets allowed in Eudaimonia sober living homes?
Pets are not allowed in most sober living homes, and residents may not bring dogs, cats, fish, or other animals.
The only exception is a designated pet-friendly sober living in Austin unit; ask the admissions team about current availability and requirements.
What items are not allowed in sober living at Eudaimonia?
Prohibited items include personal furniture, bedding, wall-hanging décor, firearms or weapons, products containing alcohol (such as mouthwash or hand sanitizer), and any materials or clothing that promote drug use or sexual content. These rules help maintain a safe, recovery-focused environment.
Do I need to bring laundry or cleaning products?
No. Eudaimonia provides laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, and access to washers and dryers in each sober living community. You only need to bring a plastic laundry hamper for your clothes.
