Peer support and community activities help people in recovery make new friends, build healthy social networks, and establish a sense of belonging in a recovery community.
At Eudaimonia Recovery Homes, we encourage our sober living residents and alumni to get involved and participate in fellowship with other residents. This helps build a strong community of people in recovery and encourages the development of supportive relationships that last for years to come.
This March, our Rustic Creek apartment complex for men is hosting a month of fun group activities for residents and alumni. If you’re a current resident or alumnus and want to attend, here’s what you can expect.
Alumni Event – Flag Football
Where: Zilker Metropolitan Park
When: Sunday, March 11, 18 and 25 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Join in on a game of flag football at Austin’s Zilker Park with other Nova and Eudaimonia alumni. No sign-up is required—just come out, bring some water, and join the game.
Speaker Night
Where: Rustic Creek Community Center
When: Monday, March 5, 12, 19 and 26 from 7:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Hear from Rustic Creek residents who have been in our sober living program for several months as they share life experiences, valuable lessons, and words of wisdom on recovery at the community center.
Game Night
Where: Rustic Creek Community Center
When: Tuesday, March 6, 13, 20 and 27 from 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Enjoy an evening of friendly competition with other Rustic Creek residents and head to the community center for a night of games like Cards Against Humanity, poker, and others.
Movie Night
Where: Rustic Creek Community Center
When: Wednesday, March 7, 14, 21 and 28 from 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Bring some snacks and hunker down for a relaxed movie night at the Rustic Creek community center.
Pizza Night
Where: Rustic Creek Community Center
When: Thursday, March 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 from 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Join fellow residents at the Rustic Creek Community center for a night of good food and drink. Grab a few slices of pizza as you spend some time getting to know one another and share your stories.
UFC FN: Werdum vs Volkov
Where: Rustic Creek Community Center
When: Saturday, March 17
Head to the Rustic Creek community center to watch former UFC Heavyweight Champion Fabrício Werdum and former Bellator Heavyweight Champion Alexander Volkov face off at the O2 Arena in London, England.
All current Rustic Creek residents are welcome to attend any and all of these activities. Male Nova and Eudaimonia alumni are also encouraged to come out and participate in our March alumni events.
